OS X 10.5.8 Leopard upgrade to Lion

Question

I have an iMac with OS X 10.5.8 Leopard. Do I have to purchase Snow Leopard and then purchase Lion, or can I bypass Snow Leopard somehow?

You either need to purchase Snow Leopard or wait until the 10.7 USB flash drives come out in August.

frankly this is a cheap apple trick. what you cant upgrade and skip a version. poor show apple.

I have two computers. Will the OS X lion and thumb drive allow me to upgrade both if they are each running snow leopard?
