What is this new process in Lion called "uninstalld" and why is it burning up one of my cores (100% CPU utilization in process viewer)?

Just upgrade to Lion on my MBP. One of my 4 cores is spending 100% of its time running a process called "uninstalld"

A snapshot shows that it is part of the Uninstall.Framework whatever that is.

Any idea what this thing is doing? I'd like me core back, please.
