Why there is no audio crossfade or audio mono option on iPod Classic 7th Gen

Is it Apple planning to release a firmware version for the iPod Classic 7G with audio crossfade and audio mono options that iPod Nano already have. I have just upgrade from an iPod Nano 5G 16GB to iPod Classic 7G 160GB to store more music but I got dissapointed those options are no longer on my new iPod..
