Aug 15, 2011 2:03 PM in response to Ratboyby deheaven,I have a MacBook Pro 17-inch 2.4GHZ:
Processor 2.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 5 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 256 MB
I have this problem when my computer goes in sleep mode, it freezes. Someone told me that it was due to the graphic card. I don't know if anyone has the same problem with the same video card.

Aug 16, 2011 4:04 PM in response to Zbegonby thomasmb,Some problems are fixed, but my problem with 1080p over the receiver isn't.

Aug 16, 2011 4:56 PM in response to thomasmbby Zbegon,I can confirm thomasmb's comment, my mini now works with HDMI after start up. But if I put my mini to sleep and wake it up the display is broken again and only works after restarting. So it's still borked IMO.

Aug 16, 2011 11:58 PM in response to thomasmbby Samoel,I posted a solution on page 7 of this thread some time ago, only one other person followed the instructions correctly and it worked. I guess my solution drowned in the masses of posts.
Anyways, i can confirm that the solution(trial software) i posted still works even after the 10 day trial expires.

Aug 17, 2011 1:21 AM in response to Samoelby thomasmb,Samoel: I did see your solution, and although this may sound stupid, I think its ridiculous that I should have to install 3rd party software for basic functionality. Furthermore, when I tested your solution later, it did not work for me. Same as allways, the TV says no signal detected. But thank you for the sudgestion, it was absolutely worth trying.
720p and 1080i work fine, 1080p doesn't (and yes, the [samsung 50" plasma] is 1080p capable equipped with hdmi 1.4 - and so is the receiver [yamaha rx-v767]) - 1080p works fine when i connect it directly to the tv, and has so since I got my Mini 2011.

Aug 17, 2011 5:44 AM in response to Ratboyby Nulix,Anybody who confirms that 10.7.1 fixes the problem???
-
Aug 17, 2011 6:16 AM in response to Nulixby ducksauz,Just applied the 10.7.1 update. Definitely seems to smooth out the HDMI negotiation with my Philips TV. I can turn the TV off and on without a lot of blue and green flashing and static now.

Aug 17, 2011 10:03 AM in response to Ratboyby EduardoPinto,I have the same issue with my brand new Mac Mini and my Philips screen. Everything works well with a Samsung screen. Upgrading to 10.7.1 didn't solve the issue. Just called Apple Support and they told me their engineers are working on it and there will be a 10.7.2 patch planned to be released still this week that will fix the issue. Fingers crossed guys.

Aug 17, 2011 2:43 PM in response to Ratboyby Bob Basket, just installed 10.7.1 but no succes with my philips LCD still same problem. Stupid thing is that if I connect a standard dell LCD monitor to the HDMI (convert to DVI) and my philips on the mini display port (also convert to DVI) I get it on both screens working. However I could do this with out 10.7.1 also if I then switch of the Dell monitor it I also loose the screen on the philips..... So I really hope 10.7.2 does the trick because I other wise go back to 10.6

Aug 18, 2011 1:02 AM in response to Venturasby EduardoPinto,Hi Venturas,
I will give it a try as soon as I get home this evening. That workaround didn't mess with anything else, right?
Many thanks for taking the time to answer. Much appreciated.
Eduardo
