filevault 2 keyboard layout

I was also suprised to find out it's in US layout (qwerty)!

I got lucky to discover that when I started to type the recovery key...

There's no indication of so anywhere in the help documents, nor on the Net...

At the initial activation i did not see a Kayboard Layout Symbol either.

So i went on with the english Layout.

On the second time there was an option in the upper right corner to select the Keyboard layout.

On 2 of my macs it was set to DE like my System Kayboard Layout and on one it was set to US.

This is very annoying.

Apple - fix this! It's impossible to log in using a standard secure password when the keyboard layout is changed arround like this.

Adding an extra keyboard layout through system prefferences enabled the kyeboard selection on start up - still ennoying to have to choose that each time you log in.

On my french keyboard machine, enabling a different keyboard layout on any of the machine's account doesn't do anything : our french passwords require french only caracters and cannot be typed.

10.7.2 did not fix this. Is there a way to force the display of the keyboard layout symbol on login screen via plist or something ?
