iTunes 10.4 OS X 10.6.8 won't add files with Samba

I have a iTunes library that is connected to a Samba share. After updating to 10.4 version of iTunes, iTunes will not add files to the library. I can manually copy files there, but adding stuff via iTunes seems to never finish nor be added to the share (they are greyed out)

Any ideas?

I have the same problem and it is very frustrating.
When dragging files from my desktop into a specific playlist in iTunes 10.4, the files just sit there for hours, all 'greyed out' and not usable.
Upon returning A DAY LATER, the files can be played.

What is the problem, Apple?
