Q: imovie will not share with idvd when I try to open idvd from finder I get error -1712

imove prepare movie to share with idvd then idvd does not open like it usually does. When I try to open idvd from dock nothing opens. When I go to finder and find idvd it will not open I get error -1712.

Any ideas?

Hi

Your Error is = Error -1712 errAETimeout Apple event timed out.

Something takes too much time.

My Guess is that Your last iDVD project got corrupted one way or another. I would
• Re-Start iDVD - BUT THIS TIME - keep alt-key down during Up-Start then select to do a Brand New iDVD project.

Just to get out of this locked in situation.

You may also try - Trashing iDVD Preference file (can also go corrupted)
