Hi all,
Since I did a fresh install of Lion on my MacBook Air, the cpu fan speed always grows until 6000 rpm and 4000 on average.
I checked this issue on twitter also and saw that it's not an isolated case.
What about you ?
What do you think I have to do to overcome this issue ?

I have the same problem. Apple knows about it. For the moment I haven't found a solution. But in my case, it only happens when the computer in plugged in and charging, and unplugging it usually stops the fan. Also closing the lid usually stops the fan.

I also remarked that the use of Chrome instead of Safari increase CPU fan speed.
It's the same case with Mail.app during the the first update of my mails.
Does anyone know if the 10.7.1 update will fix this issue ?
I noticed a similar issue on my mid-2011 MBA 13" i5. Scary loud and a 4800+ fan speed.
If it is a new issue for you then I would try looking at all possible solutions, but after doing so you find yourself with still having the problem you could always try resetting the SMC.
I did a SMC reset, I also made a permissions repairs from disk utility: no success.
Browsing the web is really hard....
Sounds like some sort of network issue. Do you have TimeMachine On?

I also remarked that the airport card temp increases during browsing.
I downloaded xcode from the appstore: CPU 80°C (176F). I really don't understand why.
Without fully knowing your specs I really can't elaborate on why either.

Same problem here with a Macbook Pro 2009 reving up fan speed. Checking in activity monitor shows that random applications, any of them really, may start ramping up to > 90 % CPU use. It looks like it is some kind of seruois underlying problem in the OS.

I think apple is skipping 10.7.1 because the gave devs 10.7.2 without giving us 10.7.1. My question is will we update lion through app store or through software update or both?
I noticed a similar issue on my 2009 Macbook Pro (running Lion) while on a Skype video call.
I don't know.
As far as I know it will be a software update as the 1st update for SL.
