Always crash waking up from sleep

After Lion upgrade Macbook Pro 17" (MacBookPro 2,1) crash every time wake up from sleep (stop) with error (on next reboot crash reporter):

panic(cpu 0 caller 0x299ebc): "VM_PAGE_QUEUES_REMOVE: unmarked page on Q"@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-1699.22.73/osfmk/vm/vm_resident.c:2215

<cut>...</cut>

BSD process name corresponding to current thread: kernel_task

Tried with reset PRAM etc but nothing works.

issue:

- Put mac in sleep (from menù  Stop or closin the lid)

- The power light pulse

- opening the lid (or pressing any key) to wake up the power light will power off (and I hear the normal sound of superdrive motor wakeupink)

- now the only thing to do is pressing the power button for about ten seconds, then MacBook restart from boot

- crash reporter notify the error

Any suggestion? 😐

Cheers

I have the identical issue down to the letter and digit. 2008 MacBook 2.1 Core 2 Duo. MacBook4,1

panic(cpu 0 caller 0x299ebc): "VM_PAGE_QUEUES_REMOVE: unmarked page on Q"@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-1699.22.73/osfmk/vm/vm_resident.c:2215

My only solution is to logout and leave the lid open or shutdown.

I've submitted the issue at least 5 times, but now I'm tired of going through the extra 5 minutes each time to boot.

Thanks.

I got an external drive, did a full TimeMachine backup, and did a clean install of OS X Lion and now the sleep/lid issue is gone. Intermittently it doesn't realize that the external monitor isn't plugged in and the login is off-screen, but I'm sure a patch will take care of that.

Anyway, the sleep issue appears to be an upgrade issue, as this computer was upgraded from 10.5 to 10.6 and then to 10.7 without any clean installs.
