Hello, after updating to Safari 5.1, I cant open any page.. I type the adress and it keeps loading but nothing happens.. Before updating everything worked great, so im sure its this version, i uninstalled it, dowloaded again from apple site 5.1 version, installed it, but nothing changed.. Please help (Im Windows XP user)

Yes I have the exact same issue on my Windows 7 PC. It worked fine on another computer with Windows Vista but it doesn't work on my Windows 7. I would really like to get this problem fixed before I give up on Safari for good.
Add me to the list on Win 7 x64. Safari opens, menus drop, Prefs responds, etc. Pinwheel keeps spinning and NO window will open. Uninstall/reinstall also fails. Worked fine until the update reared its ugly head. FF continues to work, so it's not my system

If after the update Safari loses the connection to the Internet, you need to run a command prompt as administrator and type "netsh winsock reset". This is Repeir / Reset Winsock settings.
The reset/restart appears to have worked and pages are now loading. Will check the rest of the program later.

Having the same problem. Please help. Winsock reset didn't work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all Apple products. iTunes is effected also. I will not pull iTunes store or Ping.

The culprit is âLittle Snitchâ
I am running OS 10.6.8 (Lion-ready). Yesterday, I installed the Safari updater from 5.0.5 to 5.1 . . . and am experiencing repeated and annoying pop-up windows for "WebProcessing."
I found the culprit to be the third-party utility "Little Snitch" â which monitors outgoing internet connections. (http://www.obdev.at/products/littlesnitch/index.html).
I solved the problem by upgrading (FREE) Little Snitch v2.0.x to v2.4 (for Snow Leopard and Lion).
PROBLEM SOLVED.
Little Snitch is not a fix for my issue. This *****. I love Safari but I am not going to pay $50 bucks for MAC guys to troubleshoot seeing this is a major problem with several people.
I agree. Something needs to get fixed quickly.
