It was working fine for the first week, but now seems to be absent.

I can see songs I've gotten before on my iPhone, but when I try to download them, they fail, giving me an error that says that that that I haven't purchased it with my apple ID, which is hardly true at all.

On the iTunes I use on the PC desktop, the purchases are not even showing up on the "Purchased" tab, where I've been synchronizing tracks from before.  ****, I can't even get the thing to switch to the apps or books tabs.

What did work was that when I purchased a couple of new tracks, they showed up almost immediately and downloaded to my computer.  But that's the one and only success I've had recently.

I have almost similar issue, after upgrade to 10.4.0.80, I can't access correctly to my "new" Purchased section, it just blank. I got another machine with older iTunes version, the Purchased section works!

    Anyone can help?

I think it is iTunes 10.4 ... I bought an album at work (PC with 10.4) and later pulled it down from the cloud at home (PC with 10.3.1). This morning I bought an album at home and on my PC at work I get the same error as you, saying that this item was not purchased with my account. Let's see how long 10.4.1 takes to get here ...

Sigh... Still the same, I'm very dissapointed with Apple.

I think this is still in beta so it's not fully backed yet until the official release of iCloud this Fall.

I have the same problem as noted above.  Can't find any help or many other mentioning it.  iCloud was working and still works with my iTunes 10.3 units and my iPhone.  But on any machine that has iTunes 10.4 no longer lets me look at purchased material, I can go to the Purchased screen, but it is just blank and doesn't show my purchases.  I have two 10.4 machines one a Vista and the other a Win7 and there is no way I can get it to list purchases.  The laptop I have that is running 10.3 still, still works and I can download anything from the past.

Hmm, iCloud with iTunes 10.4 (Windows) seems to work fine now ... and I have not changed anything except update my other computer to 10.4.  I can't say that both computers have to be running 10.4 for iCloud to work from one authorized computer to another, but that seems to match my experience.

I've had the same issue since upgrading to 10.4 from 10.3.  Any purchases I've made at all, with either version, fail to show up when I click to re-download previous purchases.  All that happens is a screen with the catagories (which it won't let me click between) and a blank screen.  Tried removing 10.4 and re-installing 10.3 but then iTunes fails to open and I get an error message stating the LIB file was created by a later version of iTunes.

Anyone try removing 10.4, deleting the LIB files, and then re-installing 10.3?

Maybe you're not looking in the right area ... go to the iTunes store and look at the links on the right side.  See the "Purchased" link with NEW next to it?  That's where you access iCloud to download things you've purchased on other devices.

Tried that.  Takes me to the same screen as clicking on Purchased in the left side bar followed by Re-download Purchases does.

OK, then not sure what to recommend. But if you want to go back to 10.3 you should have a folder named "Previous iTunes LIbraries" where you'll find your prior .itl file (check the date). If you uninstall 10.4, then replace the .itl file with the one from your previous (10.3) library, you should be able to install 10.3 without any issue, other than losing any changes made since going to 10.4.

Was actually trying that when you replied.  Got 10.3 installed without any issues, however still had the same issue as far as being unable to download previous purchases even though when I was using it up until 10.4 I could download music.  After I re-installed 10.4 I noticed the Purchased section is missing from the sidebar on the left.  At this point I'm just going to wait and see if Apple corrects the issue with an update (hopefully soon).

The problem is QuickTime 7.7.  It installs an updated iTunes component. Apple Application Support 2.0.1.  Once that gets updated the purchased section is blank.  It is also updated if you install Safari 5.1.

The "solution" is to remove the Apple Application Support 2.0.1 and install the one that comes with iTunes 10.4 which is 1.5.2.   The problem with this is that 1.5.2 has a number of security flaws in it.  It also breaks Safari 5.1.
