Add Internet Browser to Apple TV

If this device had a fully functional internet browser I would buy one to replace my PS3! Does anyone know how we can let Apple know how much we would like this feature added?

I found this link in another post http://www.apple.com/feedback/appletv.html

That link would be your best bet. I don't see it happening though. ATV is not meant to be a computer, it is a media hub meant to stream your iTunes library, rent from their store and has since had services like Netflix and Youtube added.

If you want a browser there is an app that allows you to airplay from an ios device, search the app store. I will try to find it myself for reference.

Yes, I was referring to myself and what I guestimate to be millions of others who have been searching for this type of functionality on the living room tv. Sony advertised that the ps3 could do it, but it is so riddled with limitations as to not be useful.

Yes, a cluttered and confusing menu system would be difficult to use if not downright tragic. But with the unmatched beauty of my iPhone 4 I can't imagine that apple would create a bad experience with the apple tv.

Thx, but the iPhone 4 is the only apple product I own. If it could serve it's Internet browsing up to the tv through apple tv that would really be something!

You never saw AppleTV 1 'take 2' software 😉

Apple could certainly add a browser to it if they wanted to, we just don't really know their plans - they still describe it as a 'hobby'.

While I can't stand the PS3 interface it does give superb playback of DVD/Blu Ray and I suspect you'd find AppleTV rentals would not match the quality you can get from the PS3.

Don't get me wrong I use AppleTv 2 all the time, it's just that some things it does well, other things are done better by other devices.

No perfect media box out there currently alas.
