Moving mouse won't wake up computer since Lion upgrade

That is the way it is now. No fix required.

There's no fix. Space or escape should do the job though.

This should definitely be an option as I like to use my Magic Trackpad to wake my screen.

Well, just press it down (to click) and you'll wake!

I actually love it, no more table getting bumped or cat waking up the system when I put it to sleep!

Tried that, doesn't work. I have to press a key on the keyboard.

Saying that, it might be a bug. I've noticed the inertia scrolling on my MacBook Pro is very tempremental...

Never thought of it like that - this might save my cat from a few angry words!

Exactly! That's why it is done this way now. It used to be very annoying when the table was touched to get the wake-up.

This also means that the optical sensor doesn't have to be powered, thus causing a battery drain!

This seems to be a bug, the problem is affecting VNC remote desktop and TeamViewer remote where if the display is "SLEEPING" teamviewer doesn't connect to it, and VNC doesn't even see the machine being active.

APPLE Please check this issue, it was working before with Leopard and Snow Leopard, but it doesn't with LION.

I use TeamViewer and VNC a lot on my machines, and the only crazy work around is to turn Display Sleep mode OFF, thankfully ScreenSaver does work properly.

Display Sleep should turn your display off, but not affect your machine, as hard drive is active.

It wake up with the double tap to go mission control in my magic mouse that come with computer

May the double tap sentation is almost a click or may is a click no really sure...

Anyone else have this problem with TeamViewer or VNC?

Same issue on Mac Mini. Trying to use Bomgar Jump Client (Similar to VNC and Team Viewer). If the display is asleep I can't connect. If I tap the keyboard to wake it up I can connect fine. (The machine is a test subject sitting on my desk...)
