What happened to the Mail "Bounce to Sender" menu item in Lion?

I used to use this on a daily basis. Where did it go? Is it gone? If so, why?

So many things missing, broken or changed. : <

You can add this back in using Automator to put it in the Services menu found under the Mail menu item. I found this helpful weblink. It seemed to work for me: http://oregontechsupport.com/articles/osx-mail-bounce.php

Still, I don't know why Apple would take this useful feature away. It seems like they are stripping away higher level features in every corner of every app and piece of hardware one by one. Soon, even the most loyal Mac users (like myself) will switch over to PC's or some other crappier system just to get the basics back. Sad. Just sad.

It really doesn't work like that, and is a fake bounce, since it can be told by those who want to know that your email server had already accepted it. It has been long standing advice to not use that function.

Bounce is counterproductive -- see:

Notice that this one is writtern from the perspective of bouncing an mail which has already been accepted by your email account and its server, which is what we are all talking about:

Related to Outlook:

Now if you can get your server to not accept a messsage, then you got something worthwhile.
