Doesn't mean we have to like it! Sounds like assimilation is inevitable! -
Jul 26, 2011 1:24 PM in response to mannieyuriby guntrafficradio,I came here due to that specific issue. If I press space bar to play/pause it is skipping the song back. I've noticed that the "back" button in iTunes is highlighted when this happens, but through no effort on my part. The back button is randomly highlighted and selected when I minimize iTunes via Shift+Command+M.

Jul 26, 2011 1:52 PM in response to lebanksby dorkyshidae,I don't have any problem with iTunes store and stuff but when I paste the album cover in the artwork section, all I get is black box T___T
I've tried to uninstall and re-install but the same thing still happens.
Apple needs to release a new version or something to fix this prob!!!

Jul 26, 2011 8:13 PM in response to D528by refactor,To D528. Thanks. On my Windows XP system, I followed the uninstall all Apple and reinstall steps (except step 8) in your OKAY HERE IS THE FIX note above. Apparently I missed deleting Safari on the first pass, so had an extra cycle to get that out and to then one to get MobileMe. Windows XP doesn't have the Publisher sort in the add/delete list,
iTunes is now working. Have access to the store. No CPU hogging. Have not reinstalled Safari.
Though just got an IE Sync Client encountered a problem pop-up.
iPad and iPod nano seemed to sync with no problem.
I didn't have to go the preferences to do those settings suggested - it came to me.

Jul 27, 2011 5:51 AM in response to D528by from Moscow,To D528. Thanks from me, too. Have just tried your instructions "lite" (that is, without de-installing/re-unstalling). The overall situation seemed better (that is, no computer freezing). I tried to load iTunes older version, because I was afraid to download the ill-fated 10.4. It loaded successfully but, again, I was not able to connect to its services and, consequently, to authorize my iPad.
After attempting to connect to the iTunes store the iTunes window (but not the computer) freezes, as well as the Internet Explorer. But Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox work just fine. I have not tried Safari being afraid to deal with Apple products.
After shutting down the computer, the DDE Server Window error appeared again.
Now I am going to follow your instructions "full-version". Will report.

Jul 27, 2011 7:25 AM in response to lebanksby windy_meadow,I had the same problem, but Apple would not respond to me. I finally removed ALL programs from my computer and then rebooted it and downloaded the iTunes program 10.4.8 (the current one) from the website and reinstalled it. Now everything is back to normal. I don't know why Apple could not tell us to do that.

Jul 27, 2011 7:26 AM in response to lebanksby mark sofla,I uninstalled everything (took a while), rebooted. Then installed 10.3 and followed a procedure that I found somewhere here that included going back to an older library file. Now it all seems to be working reasonably well. I will wait until 10.5 (or 10.4.X) comes out to upgrade.

Jul 27, 2011 7:28 AM in response to lebanksby windy_meadow,Let me clarify my reply..It should read "I removed all APPLE programs from my computer. NOT "I remove ALL programs" I'm sorry about that.
