Sparkle Framework removal

Sparkle framework for apps was apparently installed on my Macbook Pro after trying to run SMC Fan Control. smcFanControl failed to work. How do I remove Sparkle?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Why do you want to remove Sparkle? It's just a framework for allowing apps to automatically update themselves, it doesn't run any daemons or anything. (that is, it's not going to take up memory, use more than a few KB of hard disk space, or burn any CPU cycles)

The Sparkle framework is stored within the application packages of any applications that use it. Remove applications using it and you've removed Sparkle.
