Save music from home sharing to iPad

You don't. that is not what home share does.

You have to sync the music via itunes and the usb cable.

"With Home Sharing in iOS 4.3 or later, you can stream your entire iTunes library over your home Wi-Fi network from your Mac or PC right to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch."

Annoyingly you can't. I can swap music between my MacBook, apple mini and up net book with homesharing, but the iPad 3 doesn't have this feature. What a let-down.

This is so disappointing. I'm getting annoyed with all the limitations on mac....
