After I updated itune and quicktime on my computer, such statement pops up every time when I start the computer

AppleSyncNotifier.exe - Entry Point Not Found

" The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll"

Anyone know how to fix it?

Hey Midnight!  Glad you enjoyed your trip.  I did spend about 2 hours with a local computer expert and he did help me with several issues, but we never did get around to fixing this Apple problem.  I uninstalled iTunes and then reinstalled its latest version (on my own).  At least I can get songs from my iTunes library to play now on my computer, but there is still that maddening SQLite3.dll error along with its "clunk" sound whenever I boot up. Grrrr. Since it doesn't seem to affect my usual activity with my iTunes music library, I'm not gonna worry about it.  Hopefully one day we'll see them fix it. Not holding my breath though.

Hi this didn't work for me with Windows 7, 64 bit and I tried everything else in this string.  But what did work was listed in google search listing the title of error and scroll on down to the microsoft link below if you want to copy it, It was by Santi and is below this link   and I quote the text below the link!

    "Hi all

In case that your OS is Windows 7 (64 bit) and you have got the message as the following:

AppleSyncNotifier.exe - Entry Point Not Found The procedure enrty point xmlTextReaderConstName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll

    1. Open windows explorer, go to location

    2. Copy file "libxml2.dll"

    3. Open new windows explorer, to to location

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support

    4. Paste file "libxml2.dll" to the location.

    5. Reboot your computer, it should not display those message, it should be clear.

One more information, I've to used iTune for long time ago without any problem, but first of the message to appeared, that is after I've to remove Kaspersky Anti Virus then Install the new Anti Virus, that is Panda Anti Virus 2011.

However, right now, I'm still used Panda Anti Virus at this time.

Thanks to Santi above for solving my problem with this.

I have windows 7 64 bit and the solution that worked for me was from a link from someone else named Chanti, in a different link searching google with the error message and several links below the apple forum.

Perhaps you've solved this by now but I had the problem recently for me and I found this to work found on another post from microsoft answers by a contributor named Chanti.

You'll find the solution you posted (three times!) in my first posting to this thread, the seventh down on page 1.

Except that a typo had me referring to 'libmxl2.dll' instead of 'libxml.dll' at one point.

A typo which I see faithfully replicated into similar postings on other threads on this same topic. But as they give me no attribution, I guess they must be independent of mine, and there is more than one person who fat-fingers in exactly the same place :-)

    i)  Which version of Windows do you have, Rosie?

Click on Start (the round Windows icon at the bottom left of your screen)

Click on Control Panel (which you will find in the list of options in the gray area on the right of the box that opens, somewhere near the bottom of that list)

Depending on the View you have set up there, you will

    EITHER

see a list of items, or of icons, in alphabetical order, from which you should click the one marked 'System'

    OR

see a list of headings, of which the first should be 'System and Maintenance', which you should click

and then click the heading marked 'System'

I need to know the 'Windows edition' (e.g. XP Home, Vista Ultimate, Windows 7 Home Premium, etc.)

and under System, the System type, which will be either '32-bit operating system' or '64-bit operating system'

ii)  What is the exact error message you are getting?

Some have this missing entry point problem with 'sqlite3.dll', others have it with 'libxml2.dll'

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------

Given these answers, I can then give you an exact recipe for the problem you have, specific to:-

    i) Your OS, as Windows Explorer operates a little differently on each of XP, Vista and W7

ii) The folders you need to use, as these are differently named for 32-bit and 64-bit OSes

iii) The file you need to copy, as this is different depending on which error you are getting

Alternatively, the advice given above in the thread does contain enough information, if you can find a brunette who knows his/her way around Windows Explorer (which certainly, not everyone does),

I am an iTunes user only and I had the same problem for the longest time. It wasn't keeping me from doing anything, so it was not a huge crisis. Finally, I decided I didn't want to look at the ugly notification anymore and it was time to do some research!

I found this forum first and none of the solutions posted here worked for me, so I had to look elsewhere. I stumbled across another forum that had just the solution I was looking for and they had just the instructions that worked for me!

Go to http://computerwild.com .  Click 'Downloads', then scroll down to 'Custom Batch Files'.

Hope this works for everyone else~!

    Happy computing!

A nice presentation and packaging of the fixes described higher in this thread, which should be much easier for a non-technical person to use.

However, it's only for 32-bit OSes, and so while it should work on XP, Vista and Windows 7 32-bit, it won't fix the issue on W 7 64-bit, which needs ' (x86)' (no quotes, but a preceding space) adding in the four places 'Program File's is mentioned.

I've left a message at Computerwild to see if he wants to create a 64-bit version.

OK, here's an amended version for 64-bit OS users:-

    IF exist "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\." (

       CD "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple"

    ) ELSE (

       CD "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple")

COPY "Apple Application Support\SQLite3.dll" "Mobile Device Support\"

COPY "Apple Application Support\libxml2.dll" "Mobile Device Support\"

To use this, we first make our own copyAppleDll.bat file, like the 32-bit file from Computerwild, but extended for 64-bit:-

Click Start (the bottom-left circular Windows icon)

Type Notepad into the box at the bottom with the little magnifying glass, and press Enter.

Select and copy the six lines starting with IF above, and paste them into Notepad.

In Notepad, click File, Save As, click Documents on the left of the box that opens, and in the Filename box, type 'copyAppleDll64.bat' (without the quotes) and click Save.

OK, now we've made our batch file, we can run it:-

Click Start (the bottom-left circular Windows icon) again

Type Cmd into the box at the bottom with the little magnifying glass, and press Enter.

Type 'CD Documents' (without the quotes) into the window that opens for Cmd, and press Enter.

Type 'copyAppleDll64.bat' (without the quotes) and press Enter.

    Close the window.

Restart your computer and see if it worked...

How it works (assuming it works for you!) is that it looks for the folder used on 64-bit OSes, and if it's there, moves into it, otherwise it moves into the folder used on 32-bit OSes.

(It's a general 64-bit and 32-bit solution, though if you know you have a 32-bit OS, it might be easier to just use the Computerwild version.)

Once there, like the Computerwild original, it copies both of the possibly affected files to where they should be.

Accordingly. it solves both variants of the SyncNotifier issue at once. It doesn't matter if you are only affected by one of the issues, as the copying of the other file will be harmless at worst, and quite possibly beneficial in tims to come.

    Look for:-

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support

If that's present on your machine, you have a 64-bit OS (usually Windows 7 64-bit).

Copy the file from there to:-

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Support

If you don't have C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support, then you have a 32-bit OS (usually XP or Vista), so look for:-

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support

and copy the file from there to:-

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Support

Whichever is the case above, once you have made the copy, reboot and check all is now OK.

(Note that 64-bit OSes do also have C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support, but it's not the right place to use on them. Hence checking for the (x86) folder, which only 64-bit OSes have, and using that if it's present).

Thank you for the ammended batch file Midnight Voice.  This should make it quick and simple to fix the problem in the future.  In the past I had used the draconian solution of uninstalling everyhthing as was reccomended in an earlier post. While that method DOES work...it is fairly time consuming and something of a PITA.
