Hello, I just upgraded my system to Mac OS X 10.7 LION & my apple remote is no longer working with VLC, Hulu Desktop etc... It now only operates itunes. I was just wondering if anyone else had run into this issue and if there is a known fix... I've updated VLC & Installed Candelair and still no luck any advise would be helpful... Thanks.

I am having the exact same problem. The remote controls iTunes and HULU at the same time. Once I installed Candelair it only works on iTunes now. I haven't found any other info for it yet.
Same here. I installed Remote Buddy and it helps, but the application has to be active. (I watch Hulu on a second screen and have my Mac just show my desktop and other apps.). Before, all I needed to do was run Hulu and I could use my apple remote even if I was using another application.
This is quite annoying.
You can install Front Row on OS Lion following the instructions here:

Yes, this definitely helped, although not as straightforward as I thought. I ended up uninstalling Candelair since it was still operating both iTunes and Hulu Desktop at the same time.
So, bottom line--install Front Row and uninstall Candelair.
