Q: Mac Mini (2010 Version) Not Sleeping After Lion Upgrade

I upgraded my Mac Mini (2010 version) from Snow Leopard to Lion today and all is good except that I can no longer get the Mac to go to sleep.

If I select Sleep from the apple menu, the screen will go black but the Mac does not sleep (the white light on the front does not pulse and the bluetooth keyboard and magic trackpad do not sleep either). Tapping the trackpad will wake the screen again.

I also have a 15" core i7 MacBook Pro that I have upgraded to Lion but this sleeps OK.

All was OK with the Mac Mini under Snow Leopard and no new software (other than Lion of course) has been added.

Any suggestions?

It magically goes to sleep when I close the lid now. Are we getting live updates from Mac and don't know it?

I lied- it will sleep now when I close the lid, but only if my secondary display is not attached (bare in mind, the TV was off, but apparenly power still transfers via HDMI cable so that it knows the display is hooked up and goes into extended desktop mode with unmirrored screens?).

I know someone in another thread said this was excluse to Mac Minis. But, from what I've seen, Lion doesn't seem to know how to handle dual-monitors, period.

Hi,
Same is the issue with my 2012. Turn off the WiFi and it sleeps perfectly .. do you know how to solve the issue.??

Got the solution .. just try turning off the sharing file sharing internet sharing etc. It worked for me.
