Restore bounce to Mail in Lion

Andreas, these two clowns have been policing the thread like emperors since it started because they have it stuck in their brain that people use Bounce for a reason none of us use it for. I use Bounce occasionally and never to send it to a forged address. These people who keep trying to punish people on the board for speaking ON TOPIC, which is "Restore bounce to Mail" are really obnoxious in how they keep taking it OFF TOPIC themselves, preaching and prating at everyone.

The bounce feature can be used properly if you look carefully to make sure the recipient is not a forged address. Those two guys think only they know how to use features properly. I bounce mail when someone I know is a legitimate sender of a list I was added to without wanting to be on it after I donated to a group or wrote a question to a place, adds me to their list and repeatedly sends me mail even after I request to be removed. I don't use it for people I don't know that I suspect had their names forged for advertisement spams.

These people are complaining that you are "spamming" back if you bounce to someone's address that was stuck on a spam that was forged like most spams are but they forget that there are many types of situations where bounce is appropriate, where you are trying to make a point to someone who will not listen that you want them to stop writing you and to think that you did not receive their mailing if they are harassing you. These people telling people not to want Bounce are in a world where they think all unwanted mail is from forged addresses or advertisements and that's not the case.

I like the Bounce feature and I hope it is reinstated. I use the Restore Bounce feature in my OS X.8.5. I don't yet have the version after that of the OS and hope there is a version of Restore Bounce that works in it.

The people childishly haranguing the people in this thread and attacking them and flaming them and threatening them with "moderators" are very rude and have driven the thread off topic into personal attacks and flaming every time they post their ill-informed and rude posts.

But the question does exist that we have already pointed people to the thread so I'm not sure what we're adding unless there has been a new release of Restore Bounce for the latest OS. I hope there has been and I'd like to look for the URL.

There are many people who would use this properly if they knew of the feature and it's annoying that some control freaks who don't kno whow to use the feature have convinced Apple it's not useful when it actually is (as long as you don't send mail back to forged addresses who are actually victims of forgers). Why these people police the thread night and day, god knows.

However, since Peter refuse to answer my question I will ignore him. And as it looks, I'd say that Peter and Csound are the same person.

But who cares, really? There are more meaningful things to attend to, for example how we'll get the Bounce function back (as I - and most of the people in thisthread - use the same way as you are)!

Andreas, contrary to remarks made by the pedantic child, I do have OS 10.8.5 and I sometimes reference the OS series as OS X. It works in 10.8.5 and I certainly expect it will work with Mavericks either now or later whether the haters do or not. (Apple Care phone support will confirm for anyone that 10.8.5 preceded mavericks.)

You guys argue over silly things. I restored the bounce function with an Automator action just like someone said earlier, and I'm loving it.

Apple, please quit removing things like this for no reason. I've heard complaints about "open in new window" going missing in Finder in 10.9... why? What's the point?

You are not talking to Apple here, just other users. Send them feedback. Bounce hasn't been a feature in the past three OSXs for the reasons previously mentioned.
