Launchpad Icon Size

Is there any way to reduce the size of icons in Launchpad? They're ridiculously large on my iMac...

There is in fact a way to get your Launchpad icons back to looking the way they did in 10.7.1

Go to Youtube and do a search for "Decrease Mac OS 10.7.2 Launchpad icons size"

It's not an easy fix. But the solution works. It involves copying the dock.app file (located within the package contents of your original mac OS X 10.7.0 Lion Installer file) into a location deep within your current installation's System folder.

The video is pretty easy to follow too. You will need to have "unpkg" installed though. It's freeware, so that's not too big of a dealbreaker! http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/16357/unpkg

the icons are insanely large - i mean c'mon im not bling - this is totally ridiculous and its hurting my eyes - i shouldnt have run the update everything is ruined - for some reason my mac is also totally rejecting my ipad and sync is a major pain

we should be able to adjust the icon size similar to how it can be adjusted on the dock in system preferences

this is retarted and im not a child in 2nd grade - i WANT SMALLER ICONS!

oh wow thanks a bunch phew! even though its a major geek squad push to get it back to normal - i'm gonna go for it - can no longer withstand the attack of the large icons

aesthetics mean so much - its what the whole apple mac obsession is all about - how would steve jobs feel if i suddenly made the iphone a lot fatter than it is? somersaults in your grave buddy!

I like the big icons, they're easy to see and easy to navigate. As with all things new it always requiresadaptation. To start with a I hated the whole Lion set out but after a couple of weeks it's great. If you dont like the icons don't use the launchpad and just delete it from the dock - easy.

Remember when everybody loved BB and now they don't so much... anyway evolve or die nosaur.

Sorry to resurrect the dead, maybe Apple fixed this problem, but I cannot seem to find out how.

I Just got a macbook pro, and I love the idea of the launchpad. However, like most of the other people in this thread, I find the large icons distracting and impractical. I use my computer for some fun things, but mostly for writing papers and data analysis. What is the use of locking the size of these icons? An alphabetical list with a small icon next to it would work terrific. I cannot even use the launchpad, I am forced to open finder (a window), click 'applications' then scroll through everything (folders and all) to find the executable. Hence, the idea of the launchpad is wonderful, but the implementation is insidious.

Come-on, its not just 2nd grade children using these products. And I don't want to manipulate the system files to try to change cosmetic things like this, as others in this thread suggest.
