After upgraded to Lion, I can't find my iPhone backups any more at  ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup, but they still show up in iTunes though. Does anyone know where the new location is? Or it's now hidden?

It is still there. Just went to mine just now

the user library is by default hidden in Lion. Try these steps to navigate to it

    1. Press and hold Option key

    2. Click Go on the menu bar(Finder app must be activated)

    3. Choose Library

It's in the same location, but the library folder is hidden in Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion).

    Thanks, kisuke3! It works!

An unrelated question though. I was looking at the storage information for my MBP ( Apple --> About this Mac --> More info --> Storage). There is a huge amout of disk space (46%) under "other". Any idea what the "other" means?

    Thanks again!

from my understanding "other" are files/data that are not recognized by your Mac. Same with our iOS devices

Here's an example, Im a big anime fan so I have a folder with tons of animes having a format of .mkv

my mac does not recognize this that's why it falls under "others". Any file format that's not supported by your native Mac applications are considered others

If you want to know where these files are located, use "omnidisk sweeper"

    That's a great advice. Thanks a bunch!

Thank you for the advice, I started to get panic when I coundn't find the backup file.  Can you permanently make the Library un-hidden?

you can unhide the Library via Terminal commands - the non-technobabbel easy way is to open the folder by holding the Option key and access via the Go command in Finder as described above, then grab the folder icon in the window title bar and drag it to the left sidebar to the Favorites - it stays visible there.
