Facetime cannot be removed from dock, after restart it reappears?

I'd expect the behavior you see if it's one of the login items for your account.

I have the same issue. I am unable to remove Facetime from the Dock on OSX 10.7.0

It does not launch at logon.

Same. Facetime keeps coming back after logoff or restart...

I also notice another the option of log out screen "Reopen windows when logging back in" is not saved, I have to uncheck it everytime...

Its just a p-list. Remove them from your dock, then go under the go tab in finder to your hard drive, then to library, and then find the prefences folder find "com.apple.dockfixup.plist" and move it to the recycle bin. Problem solved. This worked for me and I am running Lion so, hopefully it will work for you...
