Can't access NTFS shared folders any more

Something like that happenned to me I fixed it by using Paragon NTFS for Mac 9.0 (8.0 doesn't work on Lion)

NTFS for Mac will fix only your bootcamp HDD means that if you want to share an image with your wife's computer you are going to need another fix.

I never tried this but you can try and turn on SMB,

You can always turn it off but I never used it so I don't know....

Go to System Prefrences -> Sharing -> File Sharing (On the left) -> Options -> Turn on SMB

You should really know that I don't know how its going to work and if it will...

I had the same setup on Snow Leopard.

I was able to watch on my Windows 7 box, BluRay movies from the Samba Shared drive on my Snow Leopard box. I was using NTFS for 3G for the NTFS drives. That no longer works in Lion. I installed Paragon's NTFS for Mac and was able to get back my NTFS functionality but not the Samba share functionality. Not sure where to go with this, but it is a shame because I have gone back full time to my Windows 7 bootcamp partition since I need to be able to be access my media thruout my house from this PC. I feel I should have waited for the kinks to come out of Lion as my setup was working perfectly. Ugh!

That would be great, but I'm not sure how to go about it myself.

Having the same issue - using Tuxera NTFS. DEAL BREAKER.

Sorry to ask: What do you mean by shared NTFS folder ? Are these folders on a drive attached to Mac

and then shared via an network share to other computers OR are these NTFS folders on another computer or NAS device and you are accessing them via Mac OS X ?

OK. Did you check under system preferences -> Sharing ->File Sharing if File sharing is enabled at all.

If the shared folders are listed under Shared Folders and that the proper access rights are set.

Also if the account you are using to access the folders is enabled. Now another question: Does sharing also works with Non NTFS folders ? Let's say you share a folder from a HPFS formatted drive (let's say your internal drive). Can your Win 7 computer access it ?

Yea, I have 2x NTFS drives on my Lion Mac Mini. I have Tuxera NTFS installed which allows me Read / Write access locally.

These drives are then shared using SMB

When I try to connect to my Mac Mini using "Connect to server" on my 2011 MBP - smb://mini.local - I see the shares listed, try to connect and get an error saying make sure hostname / IP address is correct.

This worked under SL.

To prove it is a shared NTFS problem, I can share a regular folder on my Mac Mini using SMB and access from my MBP with no issues.

Either Tuxera need to release an update, or Apple does.

Now this sounds interessting. If everything is read only then to me it sounds that your share access from teh remote computers is read only as well. You also mentioned that you have Mac FUSE installed. I would now

expect that the problem is either in Mac OS X or MacFUSE. If you would now remove MAC Fuse and then share the NTFS folders as read only, with the build in Lion NTFS (read only) driver, canl your Windows systems
