Final Cut Audio St-st-st-stutter and ppppppop!

Upon export of my videos in Final Cut Pro X, my audio is popping and stuttering. This was not the case a week ago, it just started after I upgraded to Lion. Thoughts?

Wow, I'm having the same problem. Audio is popping in and out on the video. The funny part is, the background music remains perfect, but the audio for the audio for the imported video in FCPX is glitchy and poppy after being exported.

It definitely has something to do with lion. Apple.... get it togeher!

I'm really starting to consider going back to PC. Between the total degradation of FCP, Apple pushing away professionals and focusing on JUST on consumers, and the problems i'm having with Lion... i'm about a hair away to switching back.

Disguested.

Hi Darran - that didnt work for me but I kept reading around the forums and saw that if you change the audio file that can work

So.... I was using a .caf file (apple jingle) and converted it using quicktime 7 pro to an .aiff then reimported it to the project and now it works a treat

A pigging long way round but hey! I hope Apple sort this stupid problem (and the rest) out soon - any ideas when the first bug patch will be shipped ?

Apple is completly blowing it, I have the same problem and it is driving me nuts. Not only does Lion have issues like mad, but Final Cut Pro X is even worse. Do the people at Apple able to function without Jobs or are going to start hitting the wall.

The only thing I can think of is possibly swtich back to Final Cut 7, but the transitions I created with motion 5 won't work in 7 so that starts the fun all over again.

It's not Apple that's completely blowing it . . .

Export the audio to a format that's recognised by the application (ie 48 Hz .aiff file) and once you have professional audio, the professional application with deal with it.

You haven't said one single thing about what you're doing, what the media is, what the project is, what the 'effect' is, or anything else, what computer you're using, what drive, nothing. This application and Motion 5 work for a great many people. You think maybe you're doing something wrong? Because somethings works in one application doesn't mean it will work in another. Do not compare this application to FCP7. There is no relationship.

I have a similar problem and am trying to figure it out. My audio stutters during editing/playback as well as the final export. I have narrowed the problem down to the transcoding. If I don't transcode the files, the audio plays properly. What is strange, is that my previous videos haven't had this issue and they were from the same camera (Sony Bloggie) with same settings. The only thing I've done recently is update my Mac, though it was only an iTunes and Garage Band update... and I think one other thing presumeably unrelated.
