Why are some websites not working in Safari after Lion install?

What can I tell the webmaster about his site http://www.haitiaction.net/ that looks like it's been attacked by a corrupted version of Microsoft Explorer:

This site — which just happens to be my own — worked fine for the last eight years in Safari up until a few days ago when I installed Lion. The site works flawlessly with other browsers, like FireFox. Most other websites appear fine after the update to Lion so I'm assuming that there is some source code on the Haiti Action site that needs to be modified to update to new standards.

But then I may have to modify my own Safari preferences so that it can behave like a good citizen…

The problem seems to be the System's Font cache. Being that I already own FontAgent Pro, I looked there first.

Looks like they have an upgrade for the app which is now v4.2 ( http://www.insidersoftware.com/customer/home.php?cat=274 )

The upgrade comes with a demo called Smasher which will clear your System Fon't cache along with the Adobe and other font caches that seem to be causing issues with new installations of Lion

I'm sure there is a proper sudo command that will fix the issue, haven't found it yet.

Thanks Carolyn

Hopefully Kurt Lang will update the encyclopedic tome on font management that Tofer is riffing

The key here is that something in Lion is corrupting the font cache for Safari. One could jump ship and simply use Firefox or Chrome and wait until AAPL fixes Safari or whatever is causing the issue. I was thinking that finally letting FontAgent Pro start managing the System Fonts might do the trick but there's a bug there that won't let me authorize the caper. So, now I gotta engage Insider over that issue.

What I might do is to see what Font Book can do for a minute…
