Stay on topic. Apple Support Communities is here to help people use Apple products and technologies more effectively. Unless otherwise noted, do not add Submissions about nontechnical topics, including:

It would be better to use the dedicated channels:

Back to technical aspects, I already posted here scripts allowing us to build an efficient workflow.
Once the merge process is achieved,
export the document as PDF
Split the PDF according to the number of pages of individual documents
Create mails
insert the individual PDF in the mails
send the mails.
At this time I'm too busy to search for the scripts and maybe one of them was broken by Lion.
