Hi machttps,

chances are QuarkXPress 7 won't. Whereas QuarkXPress 8 & 9 should work under Lion, however not officially supported yet. See also here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3192019

There is an issue with the activation routine in QuarkXPress 7 on newer Mac hardware. So though QuarkXPress 7 probably will run, you might not get it to activate, which of course unfortunately means that it won't run. If you have a QLA-bound license, it's worth a shot, as that should work.

Still, if you need an officially supported combination then QuarkXPress 9.1 will have to be your choice.

We switched our standard retail versions of Quark 7.5 over to QLA Licenses with the help of Quark tech support and it allowed us to install Quark 7.5 on snow leopard, and in general it runs pretty well, though we find it crashes more often than users on Leopard, which I guess is to be expected, I just wonder if upgrading to Lion would make things any worse or if its the same as running it on snow leopard
