Always the same task :
try to run it from an other user account
But before that, check that you have correctly updated Pages to version 4.1

To be the AW6 successor, iWork MUST integrate a TRUE DB, not a list organizer !

I've tried it from anouther account and same happens, now pages skips out welcome page and jams when loading the page you choose. I searched for updates and it couldn't find any but my pages version is 4.0.5.
I repeat that under Lion the required version is 4.0.1. It's normal that 4.0.5 fails.
As I'm not a sooth sayer, I can't guess if you bought iWork as a whole or if you bought Pages from th mac App Store.
In first case, if you left the apps where they must sit which means in : Applications : iWork '09, Software Update must urge you to update.
You may also get the updater application from : http://support.apple.com/downloads/
If you bought from mac Apple Store, this one is supposed to urge you that it has an update available for you.

If you boought iWork through apple store you can use the Software update check to get Pages updated or do a manual download from the http://support.apple.com/downloads/ pagees. IF you bought Pages from Mac App Store go there to update.

😁
What exactley am I looking for on this website because there is no Pages 4.0.1?
Should I delete Pages and reinstall from disc?
Yvan meant 4.1. So you are using the disc. Then go and get the iWork 9.1 from the support link we gave you. It is on the first page. Download it and install it.
