App Expose does not work on Lion...

I just updated to Lion and let me tell you...Spaces and Expose as it was in Snow Leopard was beautifully designed and very functional, I depened on them A LOT, I can't abelieve apple replaced them for this MONSTRUOSITY called Mission Control.

It's anoying that now you can't have rows/columns for spaces since I usually use at least 6 desktops and moving through them in Snow Leopard was a lot easier. I hope they reconsider bringing back the old Spaces cause the new one *****.

Annyway...here's my problem, App Expose it used to show all the apps opened in that desktop and show the ones minimized on the bottom, well now when I have 3 or more apps open and do the gesture for the Expose, the system only shows me te active screen.

take a look at my first screenshot, the Mission Control shows I have three apps running on Desktop 2 (System Prefs, Safari and Firefox).

but when I use the expose, only the active window is displayed, see the second screenshot.

Is this a bug?

App Expose in Lion works differently than Expose did in Snow Leopard.

App Expose is intended to show all open windows from the same application.

Expose used to show all open windows from all applications.

To test App Expose in Lion, open two (or more) separate windows in Safari (or any application). Three-finger swipe down on your trackpad and App Expose will reveal your two (or more) open Safari windows.

In Lion, the most similar thing to the old Expose (from Snow Leopard) is the new Mission Control.

To test Mission Control, open several applications. Three-finger swipe up on your trackpad and Mission Control will reveal all open applications, dashboard and spaces. If you have multiple windows open in a single applications (like three separate Safari windows, for example), MIssion Control groups those same-app windows together.

I was having trouble with the new App Expose feature. Couldn't get the "in app apread" to work with the downward swiping of four fingers. Then I turned off the full screen mode and it worked fine. Seems like the full screen mode interferes with some of the functions. Another example of this is using different screensets within Logic. My nicely thought out screensets do not work in full screen mode. So i just turn it off.
