Oct 15, 2011 7:53 AM in response to lukewitmerby Dan_Henese,For LukeWitmer:
Have you tried deleting the preference file after the update?
Something else to try is to create a new account and see if the problem exists in there. That would help to know if it's a system wide issue or just something only within your account.

Oct 15, 2011 8:05 PM in response to rewozzby beattz,For what it's worth, I did a clean install of Lion for the first time yesterday, going straight to version 10.7.2 on an early-2011 17" MBP.
Hot Corners worked for me when I first set them up, then noticed they had stopped working after I had installed a few apps and copied over various documents. Impossible to tell what the specific trigger was that broke Hot Corners, unfortunately. Dan's tip solved the issue, nevertheless.

Oct 24, 2011 5:08 AM in response to adburke1by Jamooche,I find that a simple restart with no settings changed will fix it. I've also noticed that sometimes the screen saver / display sleep won't activate.

Oct 27, 2011 3:16 PM in response to adburke1by NateOne,Since 10.7.2 hot corners stop working after a while on my iMac 27' 2010 Model.

Oct 29, 2011 1:32 PM in response to adburke1by Owenj2o,After doing a bit of experimenting I think I've found the problem - Unlike in Snow Leopard, hot corners in Lion work by hovering the cursor in the corner instead of clicking.
Try moving the cursor into the corner without clicking and you should find it activates it, whilst clicking seems to prevent it from happening.

Nov 1, 2011 8:54 AM in response to John Serkinby samuel001,How did you do a Permissions Repair?? Could you please explain exactly what/how you did it?
Thanks!

Nov 1, 2011 9:00 AM in response to samuel001by John Serkin,Use Disk Utility (in your Utilities folder within your Applications folder). There's a button: Repair Permissions. In my case it repaired about a hundred permission errors. Sadly, though, the problem with the hot corners returned, along with all the permission errors! So I'm afraid my experience won't be of much help. We'll have to wait for an Apple fix, I think.

Just an fyi for you and others reading this, you can run Repair Permissions an infinite number of times and many of the messages will remain; it's "normal," believe it or not.

Nov 23, 2011 11:06 PM in response to Owenj2oby Michaël Betsch,You obviously NEVER had to click to activate hot corners in any Mac OS versions.
The only (temporary) solution I have to this problem is to launch the Terminal.app, and force the Dock app to quit by typing "killall Dock" (without the quotes)…

Dec 19, 2011 8:10 AM in response to adburke1by rolfeson,Woke up this morning to find the hot corners not working. I have a relatively new macbook pro with no extra anything. None of the corners will initiate the screen saver although the sleep function will work.
