I just intsalled Mac OS X Lion yesterday and opened iChat and it logged into the account automaticlly. How do I disable this feature, so it does not log in automatically when iChat opens in Mac OS X Lion? or will Apple upate soon to bring back the small features soon? Hi,

I seem to be confusing two settings.

This one is the one I was thinking of

The One I actually should have said

Of course some of these setting have moved before between different Versions of iChat.

In th Accounts pane check the Security tab and/or Server Setting as it might have got moved to either of those.

It may have been grouped with the Status Message setting in the General Section.

Other place might be iChat Menu > Accounts

This just used to List the Accounts and toggle them On or Off individually.

Logged in Accounts are also listed in the Window Menu so it might be worth checking there as well.

There is a vague chance it has been moved to the View Menu.

If it is not there at all, ask for it here http://www.apple.com/feedback/ichat.html

Go to System Preferences > General (What used to be Appearance)

See this Global Setting

Adjust as required. Unticked iChat will not Auto Login the accounts that are Marked "Use this Account" when starting up

EDIT

That is to say this is it's action on iChat. It is a global All Apps setting !!
