The Problem is this, in your system preferences, under network tab, under the advanced tab, your various networks are remembered. If you make a change to your network, well guess what it is still remembering your older network, so now you connect ot the adjusted network and now the computer is remembering two networks from the same place. Also you could put a check mark in the box that says Show wifi status in menu bar. There is nothing wrong with 10.7.3, and suggest that you give it a try.

I'm sure you can speak knowledgeably for everyone, but if what you say was true (and that solution has been posted several times), this thread wouldn't be so long and so frequently updated.

That fact is, despite your suggestion many people are still experiencing this problem, including myself, and it just isn't that simple for everyone. Judging by people's feedback, different fixes work for different people.

When you've just spent well over a $1000 on a product, it doesn't really seem acceptable to have such problems continually.

None of that works, have a look around for people with the same issues, 10.7.3 causes problems coming out of sleep for some, not all but some Macs. If I bring my iMac out of sleep using the power button (gentle tap) all is fine, use the keyboard and it does not work, all network settings are as they should be. This was on a clean install with the new combo thats on software update as well, all 1.34GB of it. 10.7.2 and before no issues, 10.7.3 and nothing, so if its as simple as you say why does pressing the iMacs power button make it work coming out of sleep? Please just accept that for some Macs and it seems the later ones like mine with the triple aerial configuration for 450Mbps it causes this issue. Hopefully this will be sorted soon.

I was explaining that if I reboot the router the iMac notices the network just once then the same behaviour starts again. I mentioned my keyboard because this is a well known issue, using the keyboard (98% battery) brings the iMac out of sleep but waking the iMac this way results in no wifi connection, using the power button on the iMac to bring it out of sleep does and its not anything to do with batteries. I know the difference between wifi and bluetooth, you just don't seem to be able to problem solve, and have a rather repetative mantra of '10.7.3 is fine and everyone else must be wrong' going on it appears. Sadly the philosopy that Apple can do no wrong does not help people with problems, and you certainly are not helping at this juncture.

I just ran the Extended hardware test, and the result was "no trouble found."

I do still find that the system will automatically reconnect to wifi with restart, or when awakened with a touch on the power button. But not with a mouse click.

I wonder if we have a problem that only shows up with certain versions of the hardware. There are a lot of distinct components in an iMac. I would think that they are not all identically the same as time goes on. One might speculate that perhaps some versions of the hardware that does the wi-fi connection work differently from others. Just a speculation.
