iTunes will not position correctly regardless of where you position the taskbar. I had to move my taskbar to the left or right just to get to the menu options. I have tried deleting and reinstalling iTunes and changing my display settings to no avail. Anyone have an idea on how to correct this problem?
Yeah, I think the new iTunes 10.4 x64 for Windows 7 x64 has bug. Every time I maximize the itunes software, itunes window just went below my windows task bar and left empty space at the bottom. By the way I set my windows task bar on top of the screen. This is drive me NUTS!!!! Arggg!!!!! So in order to resize the itunes software, I have to hide my windows taskbar and able to see the minimize, maximize, and close button. Apple, please fix the itunes 10.4 x64. I am downgrade my itunes back to 10.3 x64 now. So disappointed.
same problem... (itunes 10.4 - 32 bit, windows 7 32 bit, left side taskbar)
Yes, this seems to be a bug, it's a good thing if lots of people report it. You can use the feedback option on the iTunes Help Menu.
Just installed the latest "update" yesterday and now I'm seeing this same issue. Wonder if it's possible to "go back" and undo the update?
I have the same problem... (itunes 10.4 - 32 bit, windows 7 32 bit, left side taskbar)
It works if the taskbar is on the right side.
same problem.. (Win7 32bit taskbar on) horrible
I thought iTunes 10.4 isn't that new.. so I can update...what a fallacy😢
same problem here as well. my taskbar is on top though. any of you guys know a fix?
Same issue here. When the Windows taskbar is position on the top of the screen and then the iTunes windows is maximised, it's position is as if the Windows taskbar is at the bottom of the screen so the top of the iTunes window sits under the taskbar.
For those wanting a workaround, hold shift and right click the iTunes icon in the taskbar/quick launch bar and click restore, at least then you can adjust it to be full screen manually.
System:
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
iTunes 10.4
ATI 5750 video card
While Apple is resolving this situation I recommend you to downgrade iTunes to 10.3. That's what I did
+1 same problem Win7 x64 GeForce 8600M GT
Restored to an earlier version but came up with the error: Cant load library because it has been created by an later version. Any ideas. Have apple even acknowleged this is a problem for x64 users? They havn't responded to my support email.
If you downgrade, you have to recreate your library:
Just perform the following steps: go to MUSIC/ITUNES/PREVIOUSITUNESLIBRARY and select the latest library and then replace the one that is in MUSIC/ITUNES ( it is named Itunes Library). After that it should work. You will need to add all your song again, apps, etc... In iTunes click File, add Folder and add manually the Music Folder, the App folder ... Hope it helped
Same issue here. Only seen it since 10.4. I have filed a feedback report via the Apple site so we'll see if they fix it!
