Screen captures come out portrait only, not landscape. Any easy fix to this?

I often use the screen capture feature. Unfortunately, all the caps only come in portrait mode, not landscape. I know I can use PhotoGene to make them landscape, but I have to do it individually, picture by picture, which can be time consuming. In addition, PhotoGene can only do "save as," creating a new photo file for the newly-oriented image; it doesn't save over the old one, so I have to go back and delete the portrait originals.

Is there an easier way to do this? Maybe some app I haven't heard about that can rotate the pics to landscape mode en masse? Or maybe a way to make the iPad screen capture in landscape mode natively?

Thanks for any help. 🙂
