I can't login to FaceTime

Hi Everyone,

I purchased Mac OSX Lion from Apple store which came with Facetime, I can't login to FaceTime, it shows an error, "can't signin. Plz check your network connection and try again". Can anyone help ?

Go to your system preferences → network → make sure WI-FI selected → advanced → DNS tab. Add 8.8.8.8 to the DNS servers. Go back to FaceTime and try to verify your account again. Let me know if that works.

Good luck! - Doug

Well I finally got it working! I did indeed need to add "8.8.8.8" to DNS to make it happen but I also, in my silliness, didn't think to activate my WiFi network connection!

Apple's silly error message says "Check your network connection." when it really should say "Check your __WIFI__ network connection"!

Even better, it should give this error message straight away as it can see wifi is not activated rather than pretending to do God knows what!

Anyway it works! Thanks to everyone for your help!
