Sync Services Agent

When ever I try to download software updates, I get a message that states "You must quit the following applications before continuing. The installation cannot be completed while the following software is running. "SyncServicesAgent"".


I cannot determine how to quit or shut down SyncServicesAgent. Would someone please provide some direction on how to shut it down either temporarily or permanently?
