Messaging Agent

Everytime I open my account and for which I have iChat set to open automatically, I get a dialog box that says "Messaging Agent needs your password" with an indication this is a Keychain Access related query. The password is nothing more than my account password that I am entering everytime I log on? Why isn't this being saved and reused? My iChat account is an AIM-based one. Thanks for the help.

I had this issue too. Among other things that were acting buggy upon restart, spotlight would keep re indexing itself.

My issue seems to have gone away now that I have manually tricked spotlight into reindexing itself completely.

try this:

system pref> spotlight > then go to the tab that says privacy.

drag your macintosh HD onto it, and then remove it from the list. Spotlight will start to reindex your entire machine. Let it do it's thing, without shutting down. after it is done (might take a couple hours) restart your system, and everything should work like normal, so when your ichat clients open, it won't ask you for the passowrd. The issue usually came up after a hard restart or a system crash.

hope this helps.
