Unable to find airdrop, searched finder and still no luck. Any suggestions?

We recently upgraded all the computers in the house with lion. My Husband has a Macbook Pro and I have a Macbook. I attempted to send him a file but I am unable to locate airdrop. My husband verified he had it on his Macbook Pro and was unable to find my computer in his Airdrop. I search via Finder, launchpad, and applications. Has this happened to anyone else and any suggestion on how I might be able to find it?

I withdraw my question, I did further research and determined my Macbook is a much older model and the hardware does not support airdrop!

Search the forums, this question has been asked almost hundred times.

Look to the right for the, "More Like This."

AirDrop is supported on the following Macs:

MacBookPro (Late 2008 or newer)
MacBook Air (Late 2010 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 or newer)
iMac (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Mini (Mid 2010 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2009 with AirPort Extreme card, or Mid 2010)
