Can I install Snow Leopard on the new Mac Mini

That commentator is wrong. Most iMacs from 2011 can also run Snow Leopard, even those that came with Lion preinstalled.

A technical error that does not discredit the ultimate point he was making.

I can now confirm that I have made this change to Snow Leopard on my 2011 Mac Mini and indeed DVD Player now functions properly with my external USB DVD drive!

My MBP has a i7 at 2,3 GHz with 8 GB of RAM. So there are equivalent harware to the mini. The mini has a 2,0 GHz CPU, but apart from the clock speed I cannot see any differences.

I still question the value of these tests; but here it is:

I'm having some strange issues and noticed the last three wierd entries at the bottom. Is this anything to be worried about?

this time I had no problem with geekbench

You cannot run a Mac on an earlier OS than the OS it shipped with. The new minis run Lion (OS 10.7).
