Problems with OSX 10.7 Lion Windows file sharing

I'm currently looking at 2 problems with the new SMB file sharing in OSX Lion. The system was upgraded from OSX 10.6 as a working system.

The first and most serious appears to be a default, unmanaged share of every disk in the system as a write-able volume for any external system using SMB file sharing.

When connecting from a windows system - worked both from Windows 7 and Windows XP I was able to view and write to any part of any disk on the mac from the windows machine - including inserting a file into the applications directory. I believe it was using an active SMB login - as those are stored on the windows machines.

I then checked this from another mac - currently running 10.6 still - to find that once I authenticated on the Lion system I was able to write to any drive and folder on the system

I had confirmed that there were no shares active for the disks and folders I tested against in the lion system preferences sharing utility.

From a seperate machine ( OSX or Windows )

Signed in as guest - I can see the shares I have made available, with the correct permissions active.

Singed in as a user - I can see and write to anything I feel like.

2ndproblem - I have been unable to access the printer on the mac since upgrading to Lion that I was able to print to from a windows system. I have seen several reoccurrences of this problem on other systems.

Removing and re-installing the printer does not correct this. Windows cannot find any printers accessable on the OSX Lion system.
