I use for 10 years ULEAD ( pc) for editing my video in mpeg 2 full hd (1920x1080) and play my video with external hard disk (4geek).
about 2 years ago apple change my life.
I've imac 27 i5, Apple TV and macbook pro 13", canon camera EOS 350 D, canon video camera HV20 full hd, tape record ( no hd, or flash memory).
with imovie is that ok, but the problem is how convert video for apple tv in maximum resolution 1280 using imovie or quick time?
I understand 1280 is possible only with apple tv with hard disk, apple tv without hard disk work only in streaming and the resolution is maximum 960.( it is not may case).
I import my video in HDV format in Imovie ( that's ok) prepare video and edit in .mov format full hd 1920x1080 and archive video and use it like a master.( I hope in the future apple tv increase your capacity to full HD).
now I prepare all for edit video in itunes and after synchronize my apple tv.
now begin the problem, with imovie the format for apple tv is 960, if i create a video with resolution 1280 Itunes import video correctly but the synchronize with apple tv is unsupported ( video unsupported).
ok now lion upgrade done, try with quick movie convert, there is a apposite function convert for apple tv resolution 1280, I think perfect, i convert video an import in itunes, synchronize my apple tv but the error is the same.
I think how is possible, I use only all software apple! why it'is not compatible video? I used a correct application!!!
I found only one possibility I use tost( roxio) and convert video for apple tv in 1280 format, import in itunes, synchronize and it's all ok, but the quality is not perfect, specially in photo video, in movie video the difference is not appreciate, I think the convert motor ins't apple but roxio.
apple tv is up to date
I think there is a problem in quick time, or problem with firmware in apple tv.
there are another solutions?
thank you so much for help
