Not Able to Customize Lion Installation on 2011 MBP

Hello All

I created a bootable DVD from the Lion installer. The one thing I noticed is when I did a clean install of Lion I wasn't able to customize the installation. The customize option was grayed out. Anyone else notice this? Thanks!

The important part:

None of the optional packages are installed by default anymore (including printer drivers).

If you want a optional package such as a printer driver or Java, you will get a prompt asking you to download it from Apples servers the first time you try to use it.

Other things that used to be on the install DVD such as Xcode now come from the app store if you want them.

Edit: I'm not sure about Languages though, they might still get installed.

someone seemed to think that all those customize blocks of stuff ONLY get downloaded from Apple serversif you give it permission

well thanks for telling us apple

WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE ICON TO BEGiN WITH?

I unplugged my DSL before instal and i still got all the languages traslators and X11

Someone said that it is for future use-so anyone who bought 10.7/10.7.1/10.7.2 ~ is SOL if true

i like to run a clean and lean maching and appreciate not searching for them and deleting them by hand
