OS X 10.7 Lion and applejack v1.6

Has anyone tried to run applejack 1.6 under OS X 10.7?

The applejack v1.6 worked great with Snow Leopard and is still installed in my iMac after upgrading to Lion.

Snce I am not sure if applejack 1.6 is compatible with Lion, I have not tried to run it and forgot how to remove it. The second part of this posting is a request for the correct way to remove applejack 1.6?

It is already installed and when I restart witht he Cmd-S keys depressed, applejack 1.6 comes up on the black soft boot screen and it waiting for the command to do its thing.

I chickened ourt and was relluctant to let applejack 1.6 work on OS X 10.7.

Something tells me I need to remove it and wait for a Lion version.

Okay guys..... I bit the bullet and did a restart depressing the Cmd-s and when appllejack came up waiting for a command I gave it

applejack auto restart

It did its thing with no errors and told OS X 10.7 to restart. The Lion rstarted and looks normal. I guessd I can say that applejack version 1.6 works with Mac OS X 10.7.

End of posting until the next version of appljack is released.

I think if you'll run Disk Utility, you'll see at least three partitions on your boot volume. Two will be greyed out; disk0s1 and Recovery HD. That last one is what the installer adds to the boot volume and is what is used when you Restart with comman+R pressed. These are 'hidden' partitions but you can 'mount them with the "Mount" command or icon/button in the DU toolbar. The Recovery HD is ~650MB, so it's not really using much space on larger drives.

This is an older post, but…

It was my understanding that AppleJack ( capital A and capital J, version 1.6 as referenced in this thread) is a totally different animal from applejack (version 0.8, etc).

A visit to the original applejack at sourceforge.net yesterday, and drilling down through its links, informed me that there is no current version for Lion 10.7.x.

I know that it's not uncommon for an author of freeware not to keep the site updated, however.

Does anyone have definitive information on this?

This the correct EDITED version:

EDITED to remove a reference to some misinformation I had received.

Sorry.
