Apple won't allow third party apps to interfere with the browser, so I'm afraid unless you can find a method implemented by the router, I'm afraid you're out of luck.

Not what I wanted to hear, but I appreciate it. Thank you.
You can use a 3rd party browser that offers better content restriction and filtering. Here is a good one:

From there you can use Restrictions to disable the Safari app.

I suppose you could, but it costs. But then again, most filtering software for desktops cost. If you do that, you could use restrictions to prohibit use of the built-in browser (safari). You can find this in the settings app.
I just checked out their site and it looks very promising and I have no problem paying to keep my kids off certain sites. Thank you for your suggestion.
No problem. 🙂 Hope it works out for you! Best of luck.

Maybe try turning off safari on restrictions and then installing k9 interent browser app, they're a internet filter, the app allows access to the internet with thier standard setting of filtering for the internet browser. Its quite good, its free, however you cant customize what it blocks from being seen when you browse the interent.

They posted a year and a half ago, I'm not sure your late response will make a difference.
Maybe not for that person specifically, but I'm proof that other people are still coming across this discussion when they look things up, and you never know, it might help someone else out.
Hope you helped yourself by looking this up.
Keep going, there are probably thousands of old posts about this topic.
