New Skins For Calendar and Adresses

Does any one think some one can develop new skins for the address book and calendar apps? They seem ugly to me and totally out of place with the rest of Lion's apps. Please - no comments about nit picking.

Just go to macupdate.com and find 'LIONBLEECH'; turns iCal and Addressbook in something 'normal looking' again!

Install is a breeze!

Just to make things a bit easier for you, look for "LionBleacher".

And to Georose, no, you are certainly not nit picking. If you Google the words iCal and tacky, you will come up with hundreds of hits. The new "leather and torn paper" them for iCal absolutely confounds me. For a start, it truly does look tacky, but it also does not conform to Apple's own design elements that follow through the rest of OSX. For example, you might be looking at this post in Safari right now. Does Safari's aluminum theme look anything like that stitched leather interface or Address Book with the faux-leather backing??

IMHO, I think Lion offers many new and appealing interface features. But the new skin design for iCal and Address Book is just plain tacky. It really doesn't look Apple at all, and there is no built-in option to change it. In fact, the first time I saw it, I began thinking it looked more like some tinker toy influenced and gimmiky Windows style design. OK, so iCal and Address book look like the IOS version of calendar, but when they are forced into 10.7, they just look like an odd abberation from the rest of OSX.

But thanks to LionBleacher, at least you now have an option.
