I lost my Iphone 3GS and my service provider has suspended it right now. Can I possibly remove my Contact List and all the information (email, text messages), pictures remotely from a computer?

If you have a passcode set anyone finding the phone will not be able to access your data. If you didn't set a passcode you don't think keeping your data private is important.

Remote wipe works only if you set up Find my iPhone ahead of time and the thief doesn't turn the phone off or airplane mode on before backing it up.

I don't have a passcode set up on the lost phone.

But my CONTACTS are important and my music.

Also I didn't sign up before with Find my iPhone, but If I sign up now after the phone is LOST, will I be able to do REMOTE WIPE COMMAND? Does the phone have to be ON what if the phone is OFF can i do a REMOTE WIPE COMMAND?

Sorry to tell you that your are S*** of of luck! The only way to restore you contacts is to buy a new iPhone, connect it to iTunes and restore from a recent backup if you have one. Other than that there is nothing to do. There is no way to retrieve anything or setup Find my iPhone without having the phone in your hand.

Make sure you set it up next time!

Can you see the incongruity of that statement? Important, but not important enough for you to give them the slightest of protections?

I am sorry but you have probably lost them, as for the next phone: backup/passcode/find my iphone (before you lose it)
