I cannot mount, read or write a NTFS external HDD after installing Lion. (Seagate Free agent, go flex)
In Snow Leopard using Paragon NTFS all worked fine, - but not any longer
(I also tried installing the new 10 day version (v.9) from Paragon, no result
I need my HD:s

have you tried NTFS-3G? And MacFUSE? I use it, fine for me...
Well, for me Paragon NTFS is working without any problems in Lion. I can write to my external NTFS HDDs.
I am using the version v9.0.1 which should be the latest one.
Did you try to reinstall Paragon NTFS? There is an uninstaller in the .dmg afaik.
Maybe you have some kind of permission problem and the driver is not starting up properly.

First I had an older paragon NTFS installed which worked fine before I loaded LION.
After, I could read the Harddisk but the write to NTFS function was not there, and I downloaded the Paragon NTFS, latest version (v9.), as a 10 day trial.
When I tried to delete with help of the uninstaller it said thare was "no NTFS installed", so I just shoved the application into the waste bin and installed the new version.
However this did not work - and now i cannot read NTFS files at all .... but disk utility sees the HDD
Now starting all over, Searching for paragon files in the library. Found and deleted some and started all over again. This time the de-installer seemed to work.
But unfortunatley no progress. I must have damnaged drivers or not deleted all old files
What to do?
Is that a good idea?
I must have done something to the driver?
And now I find the HDD cannot be read by Windows 7 either (over VMWare Fusion) - says driver missing
I also think that there are some old files on your Mac.
Well, I'm not an expert about removing drivers and such stuff under OS X manually.
But I've found some links and suggestions somewhere else.
It seems that you have to delete some files manually. But make a backup of the files before you delete them - just to be safe.
Ok, here they here:

1. Uninstall every NTFS Driver (Paragon, Tuxera, NTFS-3G etc.)
2. Restart computer
3. Delete /System/Library/filesystems/ufsd.fs (backup just to be safe)
4. Install any NTFS Driver, I used Paragon NTFS for Mac 9.01
5. Restart and enjoy!!!

Thanks for the clue. The real files (in El Capitán) is located in:
/Library/Filesystems/
Delete the file from Paragon and Tuxera, them i restart and go to the step 4.
Have you ever considered formatting the drive for the Mac instead of Windows, then you not need any of these junky drivers that seem to go wrong about twice a year.
