How do I get flash video to work on the new MacBook air?

I want my stuff to "just work", but its not happening right now. Has anyone been able to have any success with lion and flash player.

Hello,

I've had the same problem (Google Earth Street View etc)

This cured it for me...

Applications

Utilities

Java Preferences

Now ensure that 'Enable applet plugins etc' is ticked.

Also, apparently if Java is NOT installed opening the 'Java Preferences' will show a dialogue to download and install.

Hope this helps you

Thanks for the reply. I installed the beta flash player for lion and it is working just fine now. I then realized that I could choose to view youtube in html 5. I unistalled flash, but then had to reinstall it because one of my favorite websites khanacademy.org still uses flash. I just wish these developers would settle on a format.
